In memory of Pam Harvey

I set up this fund in memory of my mam who sadly lost her fight against breast cancer on 14 May 2008.

After her diagnosis she began raising money for breast cancer and raised over £3,000. This tribute fund is now my way of continuing to raise money for this very worthy cause and a way of keeping my lovely mam's memory alive.

My mam was a very special person who always thought of others before herself and that's why she began holding charity events for breast cancer, as she wanted to make a difference to other women who had also been diagnosed and help find a cure. Unfortunately, this cure did not come in time to help my mam but I'm sure it will come in the future and one day breast cancer will become a thing of the past.

I have now become a fundraiser on my mam's behalf and want to help find a cure. I am holding a charity event on 24 April 2009 in memory of my mam, who would have been 60 on 12 April, as this was a request of hers before she passed away. We have called it Pam’s Pink Party and have decided we will hold a charity event each year around her birthday and also do an event in October. We also aim to do the Boxing Day Dip at the end of this year. Nothing can ever replace such a special lady or fill the void she has left in our lives.
