In memory of Bertus Bakelmans

So far we have raised

£0.00

Bertus always said ‘if it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing' and that's how he lived his life until the end. To honour our dad Bertus Bakelmans, his family has created this memorial page.

He loved his family most of all, especially the grandkids: young Ramses and Felix, their cousins Linda and David, and his children Jan and Paul and their wives.

He survived Corinne, his wife, who died in 1994. Together they raised their children and worked tirelessly for their community as volunteers. Bertus was a teacher and he continued to volunteer until his Alzheimer began three years ago. Bertus is also remembered by his friends and colleagues, where he dedicated 40 years of service. Bertus and Corinne loved nature and loved music.

Bertus lived a long and wonderful life and we'll miss him dearly. Dad, Grandpa, the world won't be the same without you!
We welcome you to share your thoughts and memories in the condolences section below.
