In memory of Anne Green

Judith Anne Green, known to everyone as 'Anne' was a caring Mum to Philippa (Pip) and Alastair (Al) and a loving and devoted Nanna to her only grandchildren, Benjamin and Thomas. She was a bright, highly intelligent woman and a devoted, well respected teacher - a career she loved. Even after taking early retirement from teaching in state schools, she continued teaching from home as a private tutor, helping many students to improve their exam grades in Science, English & Maths. She was also a very keen sportswoman, playing competitive tennis, squash and hockey throughout her adult life.

In 2003, she left the UK for the sunnier climate and more relaxed lifestyle in the Canary Islands, along with her then partner, Mart. There they made many friends and had lots of happy memories from their life there. Mum was never happier than when sitting on a beautiful beach, in the sun, taking the occasional dip in the warm sea!

However, our Mum's life was not always smiles and laughter - life was sadly blighted by her mental health difficulties since and in later years she needed lots of care, attention and support, eventually moving to a care home in 2018.

Anne was a fit, strong woman and as a breast cancer survivor, she requested in her Will that donations be made to a suitable charity connected with Breast Cancer - we chose Breast Cancer Now. Our Mum passed away suddenly but peacefully at Sycamore Cottage care home, aged 80. R.I.P. Mum, we miss you and you will always have a place in our hearts xxxx
